5 Way To Stay Motivated As A Beginner Writer

To help you keep your head on straight and to not get discouraged by all that you have to do, I am going to cover all the things that I have learned as a beginner blogger

1. Focus Down

Focusing on one task until its done is the best answer to staying motivated.

What a lot of people do is they tend to spread their focus in different directions to finish more tasks simultaneously, when what the best thing they can do is (especially if you are just starting out) is to focus on only one task until it is completed.

If you choose to focus down on one thing then you can focus on that one thing solely until it is done.

By doing this you will most likely be able to get things done a lot quicker and see much faster results then if, you were to work scrambled without a clear direction.

No two things are the same when it comes to blogging.

2. Make Time

We all have the same 24 hours in the day, as the major bloggers out there, so if they can do it, so can you!

Making time for your blog will keep you in a clear direction for whatever your goals are.

You know the saying ‘You Reap What You Sew’…

Each professional blogger went through that season, the season where you plant the seeds by making time for your blog.  Know that this is a mandatory step in the blogging industry. Make friends with time for your blog.

3. Celebrate the Small Wins

Having the belief that you really can accomplish your blogging goals (big or small) is the best mindset to have to obtain your blogging goals.

No matter what you want to accomplish, you first have to believe that you can see it through.

Therefore, to help you see it through, start by celebrating all the little things that make your blog great.
Celebrate a new subscriber; if you stuck to your post regimen celebrate that! Celebrate all the little things that bring you that much closer to your goals.

You will soon notice that you will crave those little wins more and more. Blogging gets exciting as things start to develop. You will see.

4. Wake Up Early

This one may be hard for you night owls out there, but I have to tell you the truth about this one because it is so important for staying motivated as a new blogger.

Whenever I wake up earlier than my normal schedule, for some reason the pressure is off my shoulders when completing a task or with writing content.

You kind of feel that you have the whole day ahead of you so it makes life as a blogger just that much easier. When I wake up early and work for the whole day (I am usually putting in about 10 hours) I usually get about three posts done that just needs final editing… It’s the best!!

Plus, you can also relax, drink some coffee, have time to read your emails and plan your day!

5. Have the Right Intentions

When you start anything in life, you should really figure out why you are doing it.

Since many people look to do blogging to make money and to travel or to work with amazing companies (it’s incredible when you reach that level of success), BUT the actual number of bloggers who reach that level of success is so small.

I’m not here to discourage anyone from aiming for that, but just make sure that you have the right intentions and that they are realistic.

This will keep you motivated to keep blogging if you do not reach that level of success.

No matter how you feel, please know that it will pass and do not let it take away your dreams and goals.

Get back on track, think positively, and you’ll do just great!

I hope these tips helped you think about your blogging journey a bit differently and if you have any questions, please let me know in the comments section below. Take care and enjoy the ride!
